This past weekend was packed full of goodness and things that make me happy.
On Saturday, the fam went to the the state track meet. Talk about an experience. It's always amazing to watch the athletes in action. We're talking about people that could practically lap me twice while running 800 meters. It makes me tired just watching.
This year happened to be the 100th anniversary of our state track meet. It was great to see a parade of state track champions walk around the track. The oldest champion present was 84 years old. There were also a few Olympians present - one of which was a woman that made it to the Olympics during high school way back when women didn't even participate in track in school.
On Sunday evening, many of the cousins gathered for a barbecue of epic proportions. My cousin happens to be a master of the art of smoking meat. Best pulled pork I've ever had. Talk about delish.
The youngest generation provided great entertainment. Seriously. These babies are some of the happiest, low-maintenance children. And entertaining. Speaking of which, stay tuned for some video evidence.
Also. Greetings, June. Today is Liam's first anniversary at his job. Time flies. Fast.
